About Especially Eden
Especially Eden is the social enterprise of Eden House, a New Orleans nonprofit that provides systemic change for survivors of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation.
Eden House serves residents who are adult female survivors of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. Because many of them entered forced prostitution as teenagers, they often did not complete high school, have few marketable skills, lack successful job histories, and often have complex legal histories that keep employers from hiring them.
Especially Eden provides economic empowerment and financial independence for survivors through:
- Marketable skills and work experience
- Job readiness workshops and professional development
- Wages and financial literacy
Especially Eden Gift Baskets:
- are creatively curated and locally sourced
- support local women- and minority-owned businesses
- provide an impactful gift for friends, family, colleagues, and visitors
- enables Eden House to serve more victims through its housing and recovery program
